WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
So one day has passed, how are you feeling? Are you still depressed because you didn't do anything? Are you exhausted with all the love making and gifts? For me Valentines Day is another day, but its a date printed in everyone's diaries so it's a day you have the option of celebrating. For those that don't make much effort on 364 days of the year , VDAY is your day to pull out all the stops.
February 14th, 2010; I had a boyfriend. He bought me flowers with a card and chocolate (well a Kinder Bueno bar), but I was happy because I don't think you know HOW much I love Kinder Bueno's. For us it was another day and didn't want a huge fuss, we were just happy to spend that day with each other.
February 14th, 2011; no boyfriend but I still went t dinner with my amazing housemate, Horace. We went to our local Slug and Lettuce and as VDAY landed on a Monday it was brilliant. Every Monday is half price at our local S&L, BRILLIANT!
Where as I didn't get any presents, I got texts and Facebook messages wishing me a Happy Valentines Day and that was special for me.
How did you spend yours?

Styleathon with Stylist Sara Hassan
Industry Stylist, Sara Hassan came in to give us a lecture on styling; well not a lecture as in telling us off, but as in a lesson, but I'm sure I didn't have to explain that....anyway, she explained how she didn't just sit on her bum, but she got out into the industry from a young age. Sara Hassan graduated with a BA Hons in Fashion Journalism from Central Saint Martins in 2000. She completed a year in industry as Fashion Assistant at the Saturday Telegraph Magazine. After this she moved on to become Fashion Co-ordinator at British Vogue while lecturing Fashion Journalism and Styling to BA Hons students at CSM.
Our afternoon class was a Styleathon....yes some thought it wasn't necessary to attend and has better things to do, but for those who did attend I'm sure surprised themselves when given a random theme (look) and three minutes to create that look. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Sara is currently Fashion Editor at Sunday Times Style, and she still lectures at Saint Martins.
Sara explained to us that she. got a lot of 'No's', but she was persistent and determined to achieve her dream. She has now worked for various magazines and newspapers, travelled around the world in her job and worked with the likes of Supermodel Kate Moss.

Change, LFW'11. FJ Students
February has secretly crept up on us already and now we're starting semester 2-Styling, Imaging and Broadcast. We are still running with the theme, CHANGE! Whether it be a change within yourself or a physical change. It could also be a change in the Governments plans or more excitedly, the change in trends. What's your favourite trend going to be this season. How are you going to change your spending sprees and shop more cost efficiently.
London Fashion Week is only two weeks away. Who's shows are you attending, or not attending which may be the case. I'm awaiting my tickets from a source who cannot be named, so when I get them I will let you know who's show I watched.
Congratulations to all the students who have got themselves an offer to work at LFW 2011. I know quite a few got offers, but those that I know of are: Demi Martin, Serena Pearce, Jordan Joshua-Lewis, Katie Elliot, Magda O'dj, Nicola Shepherd and Jade Kent-Williams (all fashion journalism year 1). A special congrats to Naomi Rumer for getting an internship at Henry Holland. Lastly, good luck to Jessica Ly who has ended the StyleBlogger competition. You can go on the website and vote for her, she deserves to win.
What things are you going to change this year? You might think nothing serious needs changing and might decide to just go for a different look this season. I'm going to continue going to the gym and I might dye my hair either blonde or brown. Scared for the blond, but I'm sure it'll look fabulous, plus its changeable (no pun intended lol)

CHANGE 2011
HAPPY NEW YEAR (all from FJ1)
Hi, I'm Mica, the other half of the Bespoke blogging duo. Sorry that I haven't been in touch so sooner, but I'm a busy girl. LOL! We all hope you had a great christmas and fabulous new year. I know I am not the only one, but this week I'll be locked in my room doing work until I feel happy with the work.
Moving on...this year we are thinking about CHANGE! The change in all aspects of your life, whether it be your style, colours you normally wear, change in mens grooming or the changes Government are making. So, if anything, do you think you'll change something, if yes, reply and let me know.
I would definitely like to change the time I go to bed, grades and to keep my swagga on point.
XoXo
